The ClassicLine team are looking forward to attending the Classic & Retro Show at The Lawn, Essex on Sunday 23rd June. With another stellar line up of music and motors, this event is guaranteed to get you dancing!

Expect to see…

Various motoring clubs with a fantastic mix of classic vehicles from the Southend & District Classic Car Club to the Ford Sidevalve Owners Club. Local Hot Rodders will also be represented displaying their finest Hot Rods and Custom Cars.

Marques represented include Paul Osborne’s 1957 MGA Roadster to Eric Spires’ 1991 Renault RB44. There will be American muscle cars including Peter Edmondson’s Ford 1966 Mustang in the rare factory original Tahoe Turquoise paint and Aqua interior. Military vehicles will also be on display, including Malcolm Wrefod’s 1987 Bedford utility truck and trailer called Elsie, which is dedicated to all the women who served in the army and the Land Girls who supported Britain in the Second World War.

Along with the clubs, there’s also an eclectic line-up of privately-owned vehicles on show ranging from a 1928 Austin Chummy, owned by Michael Denny, to a 2017 AC Cobra kit car from Mark Feeney.

Take part in…

The Live Arena will include car parades and family games. There will also be Daily Driver and Pride of Ownership competitions, with the overall winner receiving a year’s free car insurance from ClassicLine at the end of the show season. The annual Concours also culminates in the ‘Best in Show’ award at 4pm.

Along with the fabulous display of vintage and classic motors in the ground of this beautiful Essex Georgian manor house, there is also a brilliant line-up of live musical acts to keep the retro vibe going.
The Candy Girls will be bringing a sprinkling of vintage glamour to the day – performing classics from the 1940s, ‘50s and ‘60s as well as modern chart hits that have been given a retro makeover. They will be joined by Smileys Showband, playing some of the finest Country, and Lianna Haynes completes the line- up with a mix of retro tunes while Mr Dickie Bows will be giving free dance lessons.

Gates open at 10am until 4pm. Admission starts from £10 for adults, free for children (under 16 years) when booked in advance. Tickets also available on the gate. Free parking for all visitors.
