This Sunday is Mother’s Day, but you knew that already and aren’t currently running around trying to figure out what to get her. We at ClassicLine love our mothers of course, so we thought we’d take a look at the most mumsy motors on the roads today.

Volvo 240

The classic mum car, the Volvo 240 had enough space to carry all the kids school supplies and the football kit and horse riding gear and still had room left over for the dog. Built from 1974 till 1993 the 240 was well liked for its safety and spacious interior.

Range Rover

The definitive Chelsea tractor, the Range Rover has become the car of choice for the modern mother. It will fit everything the family needs for daily life and will survive anything the world throws at it, even if that is just the school run into the centre of London.

Ford Fiesta

The simple choice for any mum who just needs a cheap economical car with enough room to take the kids to school and fit the weekly shop in the boot. The Ford Fiesta has come in many different shapes and sizes over the years, believe it or not we are actually on the eighth generation of Fiesta and it has remained the best-selling car in the UK for many years now.

Fiat Multipla

The Multipla had a very innovative seating arrangement with three in the front and three in the back. Interestingly the Fiat Multipla is the only car to win both Top Gear’s Car of the Year award and Ugliest Car in the same year, back in 2000.

BMW Mini Cooper

When BMW reintroduced the world to the Mini back in 2001 it flew out of the showrooms making the new Mini a global success. The new Mini wasn’t specifically designed to be particularly mumsy but that hasn’t stopped it being a fashion statement.
Do you have a favourite mumsy car? ClassicLine would love to hear from you.
