The NSRA Southern Swap Meet 2026 took place on Sunday 8th March at North Weald Airfield, bringing NSRA members and hotrod, custom car and American car owners and enthusiasts together after the long winter months. Despite foggy, damp and overcast weather, the NSRA Southern Swap Meet once again delivered an excellent attendance.
Traders arrived early with vans and trailers full of car parts, tools, memorabilia and vintage garage items. From axles, engines and body panels to garage signs and vintage oil cans, the event remains one of the UK’s biggest autojumbles dedicated to hot rods, custom cars and American car projects.
The NSRA Southern Swap Meet is more than just a place to buy and sell parts. For many enthusiasts it marks the start of the UK hot rod and custom car show season, bringing the community back together after the winter. Our roving reporter spent the morning scouring the stalls, catching up with the good folk at the National Street Rod Association (NSRA) and chatting with fellow members we haven’t seen since the end of last season.

There’s plenty for NSRA members to look forward to in 2026, including the NSRA Spring Rumbles, Big Brunches, the NSRA Nostalgia Nationals, the NSRA Fun Run on the Isle of Wight, ESRA Euronats in France, and, of course the highlight of the year, the NSRA Hot Rod Supernationals in August.
The ClassicLine Insurance team will once again be in attendance at the NSRA Hot Rod Supernationals, helping members with any rodding-related insurance questions throughout the weekend. We’ve proudly supported the club since 1994, providing a specialist insurance scheme designed around how NSRA members actually use and enjoy their cars, and it’s always a pleasure to catch up with everyone in person at the show.
The rodding season is officially underway, and it’s shaping up to be another fantastic year for the UK hot rod community.
