Celebrating 60 years since the club’s formation, the Wolseley Register hosted their National Rally 2024 at the Shuttleworth Collection in Biggleswade on the 16th – 19th August.
The Shuttleworth Collection is a prestigious venue that our team knows well, in fact, we were there earlier in the month for the Hot Rod Supernationals. As one of the Wolseley Register’s insurance partners, we were invited to join the celebration, and what a lovely day it was to be a part of. The sun was shining, and club members were out in full force to celebrate the 60th anniversary.
The 6/80 & MO, Oxford & Cowley Club joined for their own National Rally, giving fellow Wolseley, Morris Motors and BMC owners and enthusiasts a chance to mingle with other marques of the same era. It was great to see all the clubs out in support.
We had a warm welcome on arrival and really enjoyed watching the cars come in and lining up along the grass paddock overlooking the airfield in front of the hangars bearing the Shuttleworth sign. It was great to see so many new faces as well as chatting with many of our current clients to, who had travelled far and wide to this very friendly club meet.
The Shuttleworth Family’s 1912 Wolseley 24/30 Limousine is housed in one of the six hangars at the collection and was selected to feature on the commemorative coaster given to all Rally entrants. So we had a real treat when we were able to have a quick look around later in the afternoon, taking in the historic aero and vehicle exhibits.
