ClassicLine would like to send our congratulations and a big thumbs up to the Box Motor Club who recently presented a £600 cheque to Moira Furnace Museum from the donations made at their summer events.

From April to September, the Box Motor Club organise a monthly classic vehicle meet at Moira Furnace Museum and Country Park in Leicestershire, a stone’s throw from our Hinckley HQ. The evening meet, which starts at 6pm, is open to all interesting vehicles – be that cars, motorcycles, and even tractors!

The organisers ask for a donation from drivers on entry to the show, with the money raised from the entry donations going back to the venue to help maintain the grounds. Gemma Foster, Box Motor Club organiser, tells us, “Moira Furnace Museum is a charitable trust that relies on donations and funding to continue. We get a fantastic venue to host our car nights and the trust gets money to keep the place going”.

The number of vehicles attending this event has grown steadily since the club formed in 2012 and Gemma would like to thank everyone involved for their continued support and cooperation. The team here at ClassicLine are also proud to have supported the Box Motor Club over the last few years which in turn helps the club give back to this wonderful venue.

Throughout the winter months, the Box Motor Club meet on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month from 2pm at the Halfway House in Donnisthorpe. Their monthly meets will then resume from April 2020 for the new season. With at least two meets a month, when you are a member of the Box Motor Club there is always somewhere to take your classic car!
