This year it was Christian and Paul from the ClassicLine sales team who loaded the company VW T6 with freebies ready for a full day of motor fun at Walsall Arboretum. It was great to be back again in Walsall after enjoying a fantastic show last year. It was a rainy start but that didn’t put people off and over a couple of hours, the rain cleared, and the show was the roaring success we had hoped for!

It was great seeing familiar faces and quoting new customers throughout the day. We had a large number of young people coming up to our stand this year asking for quotes on anything from classic Minis and modified Morris Minors to Suzuki Cappuccinos and it’s great to see the passion for classic cars stirring in young people too – and it’s even better that we can actually now quote for under 25’s on our specialist classic schemes.

We particularly enjoyed the decibel duel which the show has become famous for! We were proud to take part in the Pride of Ownership Awards once again and it was very difficult choosing a winner from the 20+ cars that entered into the arena. Most of the cars that entered could have easily won, however, the winner this time was a beautiful Ford Mustang (feature to be published on our website soon!).

There was an incredible range of vehicles on display, from pre-war, right up to modern-day, but just a handful of the standout vehicles this year were a 1940s Jeep, 1980s Renault Alpine, 1980s VW T25/T3 DOKA, 1990s Ford Fiesta disguised as something out of Mad Max, and many others.

We owe a big thank you again to Gemini Events for their hospitality and we’ll hope to see everyone again next year.
