Classic car enthusiasts and members of the public will have the chance to witness a fig-tastic convoy as the annual Nissan Figaro Owners Club rally comes to Llandrindod Wells at the beginning of June.
This hugely popular Wales Nissan Figaro Rally has attracted record numbers with 82 Figaro owners from as far afield as the USA coming to stay at the Metropole Hotel in Llandrindod Wells during 6th – 9th June 2019.
During the three-day event, the convoy will be taking in scenic drives through the picturesque Elan Valley, Devil’s Bridge, Aberystwyth, Hay-on-Wye and Brecon National Park. Plus, a members’ only birthday shindig to celebrate the Clubs 10th anniversary with vintage theme and live music.
These distinctively cute retro cars never fail to raise a smile and we know the Welsh residents and visitors alike will enjoy the spectacle as the pastel procession makes its way around Wales!
Club founder, Kevin Fagan, tells us, “We’re used to people stopping to wave and smile when they see our rallies as they are so colourful and I’m hoping that our Club members will get a real Welsh welcome with lots of waving as we pass through the pretty villages.”

More about the Figaro…only 20,000 Figaros were ever manufactured, back in 1991. Made by Nissan in Japan, there was such a demand for them that a lottery was held and only those with winning tickets could purchase the cars which were the first to have a CD player as standard and were luxuriously equipped with leather seats, air conditioning, an open roof and bags of style, in line with their branding theme of ‘Back to the Future’.
Top Tip: The best time to ‘capture the action’ would be between 09.00 – 10.00 on Friday 6th June 2019 at the Metropole Car Park.
