We had an early start to attend this one, but boy was it worth it! The Retro Rides Gathering took place on Sunday 18th August 2019 at the historic motorsport venue, Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb. This was the sixth time Retro Rides have put this event on and if you haven’t been before you really need to go next year.

The show field was full of hundreds, if not a 1,000, mostly pre-1998 cars. You would see anything from Austins to Zodiacs, and everything in between. Vehicle owners turned up in anticipation of watching all makes and models run up the famous Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb. The 7-litre V8 Driftworks AE86 certainly left an impression, especially with the number of runs up the hill, as did the EPS Motorsport Audi Quattro, until mechanics put an end to its play!

The event had a real buzz and friendliness to it – this is a real petrol heads show. We would like to thank the Retro Rides team for inviting us along and our only request is… can we please come along next year?
