We had a lovely call a few weeks ago from the Triumph Sports Six Club inviting us over to Stratford-Upon-Avon Racecourse to attend the 2019 Inter Club Triumph Weekend on the 16-18 August. With it being the 60th anniversary of the Triumph Herald and the 50th Anniversary of the Triumph TR6, this was going to be a really special anniversary event.

The event was jointly organised by the Triumph Sports Six Club and the TR Register and looking at the program the weekend was going to be action packed. Kick starting the weekend, there was a meet and greet at the fantastic petrol head venue ‘Caffeine and Machine’ at 1pm on the Friday, then participants drove the short distance to the Racecourse later in the afternoon.

We arrived on Saturday morning to a very busy venue, we understand over 600 very hardy members camped at the venue on a very windy and wet Friday night! There was a constant stream of cars turning up during the day on Saturday and we were treated to a full show field of really wonderful classic cars.

We have never seen so many Grinnalls in one place, never mind all the other smashing Triumph models.

The venue had a real buzz and vibe to it and the Auto Solo sessions in the arena during the afternoon made the event even more special. Our friends at the Triumph Sports Six Club were busy all day looking after members, selling regalia and carrying out valuations on members cars.

All in all, a most fabulous event. We really do hope that the clubs can repeat the event again. A special thanks goes out to Notts Area Organiser, Nigel, for inviting us along.
