“Enthusiasts mingled with globetrotting adventurers… Drivers shared an appreciation of each other’s cars.”

Following the success of Breakfast of the Dead earlier this year, we rebooked Industry & Supply for a BIG end-of-season gathering celebrating a small but iconic classic car. The All Mini Breakfast Meet took place on Sunday 6th October 2024, welcoming all pre-2001 models of Mini, from the early Mk I BMC models to Clubman’s, Cooper’s, and GT models, right up to the Mk VII Mini, including limited edition models, Mokes, estates, vans, and pickups. It was such a hoot!

The BMC Mini first took the world by storm in 1959. Loved by classic car owners up and down the country ever since, we wanted to celebrate the successes of one globetrotting Mini! The Mini6000 Expedition took a 1974 supercharged Mini 1000 named ‘Daisy’ across the world and 5,920 metres up the world’s highest volcano in Chile. So given that ‘Daisy’ is celebrating her 50th birthday in 2024, we had to mark both wonderous events. And the good folk at Industry & Supply in Weedon Bec, Northamptonshire, duly obliged with their venue.

From early doors, there was a steady arrival of cars on a slightly cold but thankfully dry Sunday morning, and by 10.00 am the car park was full! The venue marshals did a great job of getting everyone parked easily and safely, adding to the relaxed vibe of the gathering. This allowed everyone to catch up and admire the cars on display with a buttie and a brew in hand. Enthusiasts mingled with globetrotting adventurers, hearing tales from their epic automotive expedition. Drivers shared an appreciation of each other’s cars, and for us it was a chance to catch up with the vehicle owners and help with all their classic car insurance needs.

The All Mini Breakfast Meet would not have been possible without our hosts, Industry & Supply, and Ben Coombs and the Mini6000 Expedition Team, who set out at the break of dawn to get ‘Daisy’ to the venue and on display before everyone arrived. Above all, we’d like to say one big thank you to the loveliest group of car enthusiasts who brought along their pride and joys to spend the morning with us.

If you attended the All Mini Breakfast Meet, we’d love to see your photos.
