Popstalgia – a celebration of Ford Pops, Anglia’s, Prefect’s, Fordson’s, Pilot’s, EO4A’s, Model Y’s and 100e’s…stock, rodded or modified! Popstalgia is a laid back, friendly event, and if you are a Pop owner, this show is a must.
Taking place on the 20-22 September 2019 at Bosworth Water Park, this even is only a short drive away from our Hinckley HQ.
Friday was a chill out day, spent watching the cars arrive and enjoying the beautiful weather.
Saturday, we cruised to The 50’s American Diner near Swadlincote for milkshakes and burgers! Then it was all back to site where we caught up with the Orange Pop Racing Team who fired up their famous 7-second pro-street Fordson!
Sunday was the main show day, with more Pops turning up for the day. Unfortunately, the weather turned so the prize giving ceremony was brought forward to dodge the downpour. But it was still a great show! Our favourites from the event included the 1959 green Ford Pop which won the Best Pop award, the gorgeous two tone 1958 Ford Squire, as well as the iconic ‘Mr Torquer’ 1953 Fordson van.
One of the cars taking part in the event unfortunately suffered a breakdown. As the owner was a ClassicLine client, they were able to contact our 24-hour assistance line and book their recovery home at the end of the show. The hot rod was a low to the road vehicle so the ClassicLine recovery team were briefed to send the appropriate recovery truck to accommodate such a low vehicle.
