Popstalgia is the only show dedicated to the Ford Pop family. That includes the Fordson, Prefect, Pilot, e83w, Y Type, and 100e range, and yes, we can insure them all!

After a year off, Popstalgia was back with a blast at its regular venue of Bosworth Water Park on the 24th – 26th September.

Friday was a fairly relaxed day with weekend participants setting up camp and catching up with friends. On Saturday, the cars lined up on the show field in anticipation of the cruise out. This year’s cruise out was to the National Motorcycle Museum and the convoy of 15 or so cars were expertly piloted by Colin Pudge in his 1955 Ford Popular.

Sunday was the main show day, and despite the concerns surrounding the queues and availability at the petrol pumps, the turnout was really good. The cars lined up on the showfield facing the Orange Pop Racing team and their 7-second (soon to be 6 hopefully!) Fordson van. The team fired up the Fordson several times throughout the day, with Ginner’s flamed Popular van joining it – it was such good fun! Stars of the show included the stunning ‘California Dreamin’ 1950 Ford Pilot, a lovely green Pop with yellow wheels which took home the NSRA pick trophy, and of course Ian Armstrong’s Ford Popular which we featured recently.

A great weekend was rounded off by the prize-giving ceremony. We’d like to extend our congratulations to Phil Oldfield his 1954 Fordson Van “Devils Brew” which won Best Fordson, and Mark Harley and his Blackpop Racing Outlaw Anglia which was voted the Participants Choice of the weekend – a very deserving winner!

Next year’s show may be heading to a new venue, so do keep an eye out for details. Popstalgia is definitely worth heading along to

Hope you enjoy the photos!
