Excitement is building as we head towards the first of our sponsored classic car shows at Motorfest in Weston Park on Easter Sunday.

It promises to be a great family fun day out, with more than 1,000 classic cars on display, plus live arena action, live music and free face painting (which we’re assuming is for children only!).

To make the most of your day at Motorfest we’ve put together a handy guide. Enjoy!

Camera at the ready

It’s not often that so many classic cars can be found together in one place, so don’t forget to pack a camera.

When it comes to snapping the action, remember to take the lens cap off, try and avoid having your thumb in front of the lens and keep everything in focus.

Even better if you manage to capture something amusing in the background, ie a kid with ice cream all over their face, someone about to take a big mouthful of hotdog or a couple having an argument.

We’d love to see your Motorfest pics.

Pump up the volume

One of highlights at Motorfest is the famous ‘Decibel Duel’ in the arena which tries to find the loudest vehicle at Weston Park (might be a good idea to pack some earplugs along with the camera).

We’re not sure any noise world records will be broken, so for your entertainment did you know that apparently the world’s loudest sound was made by the Krakatoa volcanic eruption in 1883 which ruptured eardrums 40 miles away and was clearly heard 3,000 miles away.

That’s one factoid to remember for the next pub quiz.

Do you have any pointers for enjoying a car show? ClassicLine would love to hear from you.
