On Sunday 14th July 2019, the ClassicLine team will be joining our friends at the Sunbeam Talbot Alpine Register for the clubs golden jubilee anniversary celebration.

The Sunbeam Talbot Alpine Register (STAR) was established in 1969 as a result of the demise of factory sponsored Sunbeam Talbot Owners Club (STOC). The club was established for Rootes Group Talbot, Sunbeam Talbot and Sunbeam cars manufactured between 1936 and 1957. Today, 50 years later, the club has around 700 members across 13 regions – 8 in the UK and 5 across the rest of the world.

This special anniversary will be marked by a day of celebrations on Sunday 14th July at Charlecote Park, a country house set in rural parkland near Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire.

We have been given an exclusive preview that not only will there be over 100 Sunbeams on display, there also be some of the works team rally cars attending. In particular, two rallied by Sir Stirling Moss and one rallied by Shelia Van Damm, the 1950’s British female rally competitor.

Whilst at the event, come and say hello to the ClassicLine Insurance team. We will be available all day to chat about your classic car insurance needs and you can even pick up a few freebies from our stand too.

If you are helping STAR celebrate and attending the event, we would love to hear from you!
