The Association of Singer Car Owners, which was founded in 1976, has announced that they have changed their name to the Singer Motor Club (SMC).

This year, following a period of steady growth, the club is celebrating its continuing success by changing its name, whilst still focusing strongly on all things Singer. To mark this exciting change the club will be giving each member a free 2020 SMC Picture Gallery Calendar. In addition, and looking to the younger generation, the club are proposing to introduce a £10 per annum subscription for members in the 18-35 age bracket.

The club’s objective continues to be to promote enthusiasm for, and interest in, all aspects of the Singer marque, from the birth of George Singer in 1847 through to 1970 when the last car came off the production line. The Singer Motor Club welcomes all Singer enthusiasts and aims to promote a sense of enjoyment and friendship between Singer people everywhere.

ClassicLine are proud to support the Association of Rootes Car Clubs, which includes the Singer Motor Club, and would like to extend our best wishes to the Singer Motor Club on this exciting new development. To show our support for the Rootes marque, for every policy taken out by an Association of Rootes Car Clubs member, we give a donation back to the Rootes Archive Centre Trust.
