If you live within an acceptable distance of Goodwood Motor Circuit, a cruise on down to their annual Classic Car Sunday Breakfast Meet is a must for any classic car enthusiast. And the best bit, it is free to attend!

It’s a laid-back mix of pre-war vintage vehicles, classics, retro 70s and 80s cars, as well as a few 90s icons. Add in a handful of hotrods and American muscle cars, and you’ve got the perfect formula for a great morning out.

There are no rules as to who gets to park where, so if you get there early enough and you’ll get a decent spot in the paddocks under one of the nostalgic wooden shelters. Later arrivals are treated to pole position on the track or along the tree-line roadways over the bridge.

There were several cars that really caught our eye as we wandered around the historic setting. The stunning red 1972 Vovlo 1800 ES and the rare 1924 Trojan were both drawing the crowds. The green 1952 Austin A40 convertible and the gorgeous white 1963 Auto Union 1000 SP Roadster, were the perfect companions for a sunny July Sunday morning, and the deep red Morris Minor Traveller and the traditional black 1930 Ford Model A Coupe, were definitely on our take-home list.
