We had been looking forward to this year’s Classic and Retro Show for several weeks, not just for the show of cherished vehicles, but also for the fabulous surroundings. Himley Hall is a stunning stately home in Dudley with beautiful grounds and a stunning lake designed by Capability Brown.
We set off early on Sunday 4th September to head up the M6 and were glad to have arrived early. At 8.00am there was an endless stream of classic cars queuing to access the show field, so we knew this was an event that wasn’t going to disappoint. Our friends at Classic Motor Events had set out the show field with the mansion house in the backdrop, it really was a lovely place to spend a Sunday. There was a great turnout from car clubs such as Black Country Ford Club, Triumph Sports Six Club, Owen Motoring Club to name just a few, as well as an array of individual exhibitors. If you haven’t been to this event, it’s a must for next year!
This was our final show of the year with Classic Motor Events, so we would like to say a big thank you to Rishi and Anke for a great car show season. Roll on 2023!
